I have been speaking about home security with many homeowners. I am trying to acquire some insight on different ways that our homes become at risk. One of the things I asked each person was if they had ever experienced suspicious activity on their property. It could have been burglary, broken windows, a suspicious individual – anything really. I was surprised that almost everybody had at least one story for me. Many of their stories would lead them to get a alarm system. I have learned that Dearborn Heights Home Security is a great choice.

One gentleman informed me that he had been home for the afternoon, but left to go pick his little boy up from hockey practice. When they got back home about 10 minutes later, one of the windows was shattered and several things were missing inside. He suspected that he was being watched, and that the robber knew once he left the house. A different mother of 3 explained that she opened the door to a person who claimed to be a salesperson. After the guy pitched his sale, he asked if he could talk it over with her inside the house. She said no thank you, and he again replied by asking if he could at least come inside and use her telephone. Since the guy was being so persistent, she again declined and closed the door.

We have all had encounters with suspicious situations and people. Some are worse than others, like that of the first man. The information I am searching for helps me figure out what moves people to install a security system. The woman said she decided to get one the next day.

I have heard tons of identical stories from other families. People never really know what might happen on a given day. I am sure that these two people did not wake up assuming something abnormal would happen that day. It definitely stresses the importance of always being prepared.
